MEET THE TRAINERS
Executive Director Ashleigh Shim founded TRAINED2GO SOCCER ACADEMY out of her love for the game. Her desire is to help players from all skill levels and economic backgrounds use an affordable and high quality supplemental training platform to improve their game. She was a professional soccer player who competed in Germany’s Bundesliga 2 and Sweden’s Dam Division 1. Shim has been around international soccer since the age of 15 when she represented the Cayman Islands in the 2009 U17 World Cup Qualifiers and in 2015 earning her first cap with Jamaica in the 2016 Olympic Qualifiers. She competed with Jamaica in the 2019 Women’s World Cup. At Florida International University, Shim studied Sports and Fitness: Pre-Physical Therapy and played NCAA Division I soccer. Shim is a USSF National C license candidate.
Coach Dominique Brown received her Bachelor’s in Political Science from South Carolina State University and was a member of the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Program. She graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 2018 and is now a practicing attorney in Miami, Florida. As a player, the game of soccer has been a huge part of her life since she was 4 years old. As a coach, she has worked for South Carolina ODP, Coerver Coaching, University of Miami Women’s Club Soccer Team, and is a current coach at Cutler Ridge Soccer Club.
Coach Maria Zamora is a student assistant coach for the Barry University men’s soccer team. A 2018 graduate of Barry with a bachelor's in exercise physiology, she has also coached with the Barcelona Elite Soccer Academy and with the recreation department in Miami Shores Village. In addition to her duties with the Bucs, she works as a performance specialist at Adapt Fitness, helping improve the speed, agility, power and conditioning of different athletes. She is currently working on her Master's degree in Movement Sciences with the ultimate goal of working with professional soccer players in the future.
A native of Huntington Beach, CA., Coach Colin earned a bachelor of science degree from Carnegie Mellon University in 2015, where he played soccer for four years. He was named Captain in his junior year, played in 2 NCAA tournaments, and was an All-Conference and All-Region selection. Upon graduation, Colin attended the University of Miami School of Law where he graduated with his JD in May of 2018 and graduated with his Master's Degree in Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law in December of 2018. He is a member of the Florida State Bar. Colin was named Assistant Director of Compliance in April of 2019 at the University of Miami. Colin loves coaching because it allows him to give back to the game he loves so much and he wants to help develop young players to be confident, smart, and skilled while playing soccer.
